OVER - Best Practices for Coupon Sites Review and Giveaway

I first want to thank Deborah Carney with NightFire Publications for allowing me to review this book. As I started reading it I enjoyed the way it was set up. I could imagine these people really doing the podcast that this book is written from. At first I wasn't too sure what to expect from this book, I wasn't sure if they were going to try and sell me something or convince me that I needed to be involved with certain sites. That is the farthest from what this book is about. I loved how they put that you need to put effort into your blog instead of just copy/paste things on your blog and how to deal with coupons on your blog/site. I don't want to give anything away from this book but I'm very glad that I got a chance to read it. It's given me ideas on how to improve my blog and how I can try and make my blog stand out from others.

Picture Book About Turkeys

I first want to thank Leslie Nazarian for giving me the opportunity to review this book. This is a cute 18 page book on turkeys. As I was reading this book to my son he told me he learned in school that turkey's can't fly. I didn't see anything in the book about this so I started to do a little research on turkey's. I love the pictures but I was having a hard time keeping my 4 yr old's attention reading this to him. Because of this I feel like this book is missing something. Normally he will have me read a new book a few times back to back. I think the idea of the book is great, just needs a little tweaking for something that cost $2.99 to download.

This book, Picture Book About Turkeys can be purchased on Amazon for $2.99.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Great Huggies deal

So today I went to Target to get my great Huggies deal. I got 3 packages of Slip-on diapers for around $15 and then got $10 worth of gift cards. The way I got my deal was I used 3 manufacture coupons from my coupon inserts and 3 target coupons from here. I used a coupon for Target for one of the $5 gift cards. You get it when you buy $25 or more of Kimberley Clark items. The other $5 gift card I got was for buying 3 Huggies that are on sale for $8.99.

My CVS Deal today

So today I went to CVS and grabbed a few items.

I had $3 ECB left over from the last trip I took.

I grabbed 4 Nivea Lip balms. They are $3.19 and when you buy $10 worth of Nivea you get $5 ECB. I printed off 4 coupons for $1 off Nivea products from here. Please note that you will either have to have a friend print out a couple or print from 2 different computers.
I paid $5.76 + tax for 4 Nivea Lip balms and got $5 ECB

I took that $5 ECB and used it with a $3 coupon for Schick Intuition Shaver on sale for $8.99 and then you get a $3 ECB
Paid $0.99 + tax

I took that $3 ECB and used it on 4 boxes of Nabisco products that are on sale for 4/$5 and get $1 ECB. I also had 2 - $1 off 2 coupons I grabbed on Smartsource. (It looks like that coupon is gone)
Paid tax

I took that $1 ECB and bought 8 ct Excedrin for $0.99 and get $0.99 ECB
Paid tax

Now I have $1 ECB to use next time.

I spent $6.75 + tax that without ECB and coupons I would have paid $27.74 + tax (around 76% savings)

Also don't forget to grab a green tag. You get $1 every 4th time you use it at CVS. You can only use it once/day.
